Belgium ESSENTIALS

Peppol ID scheme: 0208

In Belgium, companies register on the Peppol network using their KBO/BCE number under scheme 0208. For example, Dokapi's own Peppol ID is 0208:1016764193. Dokapi registers and manages this identifier on your behalf so you are discoverable on the network from day one.

Peppol BIS Billing 3.0

Belgium uses Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 as the mandatory standard for structured e-invoices, aligned with the European EN 16931 norm. Dokapi supports this format natively for both sending and receiving, ensuring full compatibility with Belgian trading partners and government entities.

Self-Billing

Belgian VAT legislation allows self-billing via Peppol, meaning the buyer can issue the invoice on behalf of the supplier. Dokapi supports self-billing flows out of the box, with the correct document structure and routing required by Belgian regulations.
